NEW 2585 Series "BANTAM" Electromagnetic Lock The 2585 "Bantam" lock is an economical compact electromagnetic lock for access control on non-rated doors and frames. It is specifically designed to offer a compact unit for applications where mounting space is limited. Only 8-1/2 inches long, the lock case will not interfere with closer arms. The low profile projects only 1-3/4 inches into the door opening. Holding force of 650 Lbs. provides for extremely effective traffic control. The 2585 is available for either 12VDC or 24VDC operation. Surge suppression is provided by a built-in MOV. Wire leads with butt splices are provided for field hook-up.

	650 Lb. Holding Force Electromagnetic  Locks For Concealed Mortise Mounting On Sliding Doors SERIES 2600

FUNCTION: The #2600 Series mortise electromagnetic lock consists of two basic components the lock assembly itself and an armature. The lock assembly mortise mounts rigidly in the door frame and the armature mounts in the leading edge of the door jamb (for sliding door applications) in a manner that allows it to pivot slightly to compensate for door mis-alignment. When the door is closed and the lock is energized the armature is magnetically bonded to the lock face, thus securing the door without utilizing any moving parts.
