SERIES 10 AND 40 RIM EXIT DEVICE

The new ADVANTEX panic hardware device by Detex features cutting-edge design and technology. It is the first panic hardware device designed for applications in schools, universities and hospitals requiring rugged yet architecturally pleasing panic hardware.

          
FEATURES

  • ADVANTEX's tough stainless steel construction stands up to hi-impact use, abuse and vandalism and is backed by a five-year limited warranty. The pushpad and the outer housing are made of finished stainless steel wrap over a heavy ribbed aluminum extrusion. The alignment of the pushpad, the steel pushpad base and housing, and the durable angled endcap, give an incredibly strong resistance to force when struck or kicked open.

  • ADVANTEX features high-performance installation and simple retrofit without templates. The backplate accepts a provided strike locator for perfect backset and precise alignment with the strike, allowing quicker and more efficient installation. ADVANTEX's retrofit capability allows the unit to replace other manufacturer's equipment.

  • The ADVANTEX outside trims feature a through-bolted modular design concept that allows you to change the function and the trim without actually modifying the rim device. This makes conversion functions easier and, because there are no extra parts, inventory is less of a problem. Streamlined packaging enables fast, easy mix-and-match stock conversions. And to resist vandalism, lever trims include a disengaging clutch mechanism.

  • The convenient 1/8 turn dogging feature on ADVANTEX is accomplished with either a hex key or with a standard mortise cylinder - a great time-saving feature for facilities with many doors.

  • ADVANTEX exceeds Life Safety, ADA, California Title 19, and BHMA Grade 1 requirements. A UL listed, three-hour fire rated version is available and an optional 9VDC/12VAC/DC selectable alarm kit with LED operational display can also be ordered.

      Installation summary:

    Step 1
    Patent pending strike locator is squared to the frame.    		 Step 2

    on the door and frame.
    Step 3
    The backplate and strike are fastened to the
    door and frame.    		 Step 4
    The rim device engages the backplate.
    Step 5
    The backplate holds the rim device to the door
    while final leveling and fastening is done.

    SERIES 20/21 AND 50/51 VERTICAL ROD DEVICE

    The new ADVANTEX Surface Vertical Rod panic and fire exit hardware features cutting edge design and technology.  The tough stainless steel construction stands up to severe environments found in schools, universities and hospitals.  Available as standard double rod configuration (series 20, wide stile or series 50, narrow stile) or ADA preferred Top Rod Only configuration (series 21 or series 51).  Five year limited warranty.

               
    FEATURES

  • Tough and durable with a stainless steel wrap over heavy ribbed aluminum extrusion - durable angled endcap - alignment of pushpad with steel pushpad base and housing give an incredibly strong resistance to force when struck or kicked open.

  • 20 and 50 series includes top and bottom rods while 21 and 51 series is "Top Rod Only" installation.

  • Rods are 3/8" diameter steel and come standard with rod guards for greater security and protection from vandalism.

  • Bottom latch guard comes standard and is ramped for ADA compliance.

  • Fast and easy installation - patented backplate along with top and bottom rod strike locator provide precise alignment with the strikes for a faster and more efficient installation.

  • Retrofit installation - a choice of backplates allows retrofit installation over the existing mounting location of other manufacturers' equipment without re-drilling or adding cover plates.

  • Dogging - Convenient 1/8 turn dogging is accomplished with either hex key or standard mortise cylinder - a great timesaving feature for facilities with many doors.

  • Durable angled end cap deflects damage away from the device.

  • UL listed fire rated for three-hour doors up to pairs of 4'0" x 10'0" on F20, F21, F50 and F51 series devices.

  • Exceeds Life Safety, ADA, California Title 19 and ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 requirements.

  • Field-reversible and shelf ready to accept all outside trim functions.
